MERCHANT'S DRAWING AT THE COURTHOUSE SQUARE IN MAGNOLIA, ARKANSAS, ON CHRISTMAS EVE, 1923. The winning numbers are being drawn by officials in the bandstand which stood near the southeast corner of the courthouse. The picture is thought to have been photographed by Donna Price from what was then the Logino, Goode, and Lyle Drugstore, looking northwest. Notice that the Magnolia trees that now surround the courthouse were then quite small. The picture is courtesy of Mrs. Bob (Molly Harsh) Burns, who found it among the momentoes of her late grandfather, R. S. Warnock, Jr.
