NEIGHBORS HELPING A FRIEND IN NEED AT THE MARYSVILLE COMMUNITY IN EARLY SUMMER OF 1941. After planting a cotton crop, Fulton Davis suffered a fatal heart attack on May 13, 1941, leaving his widow "Miss Roette" alone. Concerned neighbors who volunteered to chop out the cotton include: 1. Horne, families having children enrolled included: the Andersons, Chesters, Deuces, Eagletons, Freemans, Hornes, Lewises, McCalls, McRaes, Parkers, Spregino, Wattses, and others.
