MAGNESIA SPRINGS
- Women standing on a footbridge at Magnesia
Springs (now Logoly State Park) in the very early 1900's. From left:
1. Birdie Gladney Smith, 2. Julia Lyle Dean, 3. Alda Colquitt, 4. Lylete
Gladney Williams, and 5. a lady thought to be Miss M. R. Early, who operated
a millinery store on the south side of the Magnolia city square. The families
of several of these young women had vacation homes adjacent to Magnesia
Springs, which was then a very popular resort and assembly ground. The
