- The Chidester Livery Stable was located in the 100 block of
Jefferson Street SW. This scene is of a funeral procession forming in the1890s.
The man in the middle of the street is Frank Chidester. Today (1995), the
location is the site of the Worthern/Boatman's Bank. Photograph courtesy

- The Ouachita County Courthouse was built in the 1890s but destroyed
by a tornado in December of 1931. The courthouse was located in the 100
block area between Jefferson and Jackson Streets SW.
