History DayHistory Day is an annual contest conducted across the United States in which students from grades six through twelve present results of their historical research in various formats, such as projects, essays, plays, poems, displays, and video. Winners at the district level move on to state-wide competition, and state winners go to National History Day. In Arkansas region five competition is held at Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia (SAU). Region five covers schools in the following counties: Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Sevier, and Union.
