SLIDE SETS

1.Early Caddoan Cultures

78 slides showing the sites, pottery, other artifacts, and the ceremonial objects of the Early Caddo (A.D. 800-A.D. 1200) of southwest Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, east Texas, and southeast Oklahoma.

2.Late Caddoan Cultures

70 slides on Late Caddo culture (A.D. 1200-present) of southwest Arkansas. There are slides of prehistoric artifacts (pottery, arrowheads, etc.) and also shots of historic Caddo siotes and of the Caddo themselves.

3. Spiro Mounds

Spiro, a site located in the Arkansas Valley just across the Arkansas state line from Fort Smith, was one of the major Mississippian sites in Eastern North America between A.D. 900 and A.D. 1400. 80 slides of the site and of the Mississippian art that has been found there.

4. The Southeastern Cermonial Complex

The "Southesastern Ceremonial Complex" was the religion of the Mississippian people. 86 slides illustrating the sites and the ceremonial artifacts of this all but forgotten religion.
