Chapter 20 Sexually Transmitted Diseases

What used to be a possible inconvenience and hazard of sexual activity, has, with the advent of AIDS, turned into a major life-threatening epidemic. In the last ten years, awareness of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) has increased tremendously. In spite of greater public awareness, however, people still fail to take protective measures to lower their risk of contracting STDs.
