1. Describe the methodology of the 2007 National Iraq Survey conducted by ABC News. Then, design and describe a similar methodology for conducting face-to-face interviews in Columbia County using similar questions. (See bottom of our front Web page for links to survey and its methodology)
2. Evaluate the job-specific questions (the Dean section) on the attached form. For each one, rate for ambiguity, question length, precision, and response wording. Finally, select the worst question an rewrite it. (PS I plan to share your comments with the personnel folks, this is the form SAU uses.)
3. Go to the US Census Bureau's site and prepare a summary of Union County, AR. Tell me what demographic variables you chose to include and why. Based on your summary, provide a brief qualitative comparison betweenUnion and Columbia Counties, AR.
4. What is the CPI? How is it constructed? Using the CPI, estimate how much a family who made $25,000 in 2002 needs to make today in order to retain their same purchasing power. (Hint: there are Web pages where you can get an answer to that last question. Be sure to tell me what Web page you used.)
5. Estimate the vote in the upcoming Pennsylvania democratic primary. Tell me how you derived your estimate and what sources you used.
