1. Describe how you would conduct a focus group research on the following problem. Should Magnolia allow the sale of liquor by the drink in restaurants. Be sure to tell how you will constitute the focus group(s) and collect the data.
2. What are threats to internal validity (or extraneous variables). Pick one extraneous variable and show how it could be controlled.
3. Give operational definitions for the following conceptual definitions: safe driving, hunger, and successful graduate student.
4. Create a study using a community snowball technique. Specify the problem and tell why the community snowball technique is necessary in your study.
5. What are the ways variables can be described? Why is knowing a variable's type important?
